Summary
If Lo'ak didn't want him around, no, if none of the Na'vi want him around, then he would simply leave them all alone. Forever. He would show them, he would show them all: He was perfectly fine without them!
Spider feels unwanted and rejected by both the Na'vi and the humans. And so he decides to leave and run away. And he just continues on running, as long as he can. Never even slowing down. Until eventually, he can't run anymore and has to slow down and stop. And right there he finds a new home and a new family.

Summary
Five years after the war, everybody thinks Spider dead. Except he never was, taken by the RDA to experiment on instead. And as they find him in the poorest mental and physical state, alone in a dark cell of an unknown bunker, Jake is forced to face the consequences of his neglect, maybe too late. And he's not the only one. Spider's reappearance will put the whole Sully family to the test. For better or for worse.
“Jakesully,” one of them called, “Is the tawtute going to be ok?”
Jake took a deep breath. Beside him, Spider had started laughing to himself, displaying his rotten teeth and Jake felt sick again to see how bad Spider’s physical state was.
“No.”
No, Spider was not going to be ok. And there was a high chance he might never be ok again. But one thing was certain, he wasn’t going to abandon him a second time.

Au where the recoms were grown on Pandora instead of Earth.
Seven year old Spider knows that his father will never wake up from his stasis pod. His dad is too bad to wake up although he doesn't know why. But after a system failure wakes Quaritch along with the other recoms, the Na'vi clones will work to find redemption among the people they hurt while Quaritch tries to navigate parenting Spider after his years as a neglected orphan
