Lewis stood alone outside the Ferrari motorhome, hands tucked into his jacket pockets, head tilted toward the night sky as if he were trying to breathe without carrying the weight of the weekend for just one minute.
For a second, Franco considered turning around. Instead, he walked straight toward him. Lewis noticed him only when he was a few steps away.
"...Franco?"
"You've been avoiding me." No greeting. No smile. Just the truth hanging between them.
Lewis sighed quietly, eyes dropping to the asphalt. "I haven't."
"You have."
Silence.
"You've been running from me for weeks." Lewis rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Not here."

Although someone once said George wasn't a very good race engineer. He'd nodded for the bit. Acted like he understood where the comment was coming from, really did try to understand because George is a man with many mistakes to his name, but he'd gone home a little more annoyed than usual. The weather was terrible.
