Something is wrong.
Sunday can tell as much from the moment he wakes up, eyes fluttering open to the soft light the Express uses to mimic morning. It's a sight he’s grown accustomed to, yet today it leaves him with a knot in his throat, with clammy palms sticking to his bedsheets. It is when he draws his first breath of the day, only to find it uneven, that an inkling of something sinks into his bones.
He’s sick, he realizes, and with it comes the fluttering of his heart in his chest, abnormal and abrupt. A rhythm disrupted.
Or: Sunday gets sick, but decides to hide it, not wanting to ruin the crew's plans to go to a karaoke joint. This, of course, blows up in his face.

“You have me intrigued, Mr. Sunday.” There was a certain lingering affect to Aventurine’s expression that suggested there was more unspoken. Sunday felt the urge to look away, being caught in such a gaze, yet he couldn't bring himself to. He held Aventurine’s stare as he replied.
