  1. Summary

  2. Summary

“Everything I’ve done was for them… and now, no one can stop me. No one, except, perhaps… her".

For centuries, civilizations have been built upon stories. Some sacred, others forbidden. But every story is a form of power. And every truth, a form of rebellion.

For an entire year, Solas, the Dread Wolf, wandered through the sealed world he himself had created, burdened by the weight of his crimes and convinced that there could be no redemption for what had been born under the shelter of his Veil.

Until he met Elentari: the Herald of Andraste, an elf who embodies the very storm he once helped unleash. She is not merely a spark in the fire. She is burning lightning. And unlike the Evanuris, Elentari walks barefoot among the ruins, weeps with the blood of her kin, and carries the weight of a cause she does not yet fully understand.

Because there is no revolution without loss.
    And no freedom without history.

    Summary

In the beginning, there was a spirit. This spirit grew restless, and sought to form a corporeal body of its own. This spirit thought, and it became so. He became god-king, commander of the sun and of the darkness.
He proclaimed himself supreme divine. He amassed many disciples, and they worshipped him and made great offerings to him. He declared ownership of them, as he was their Father. The god-king demanded worship and prostration, even from his compeers.
Now, the Wolf was the most cautious and duplicitous within the dominion. He hunted within the borders of the god-king's court, pouring honeyed lies into the ears of the People.
    However, there was another.
If you hear the call of the Morningstar, our Lord Elgar’nan demands you turn away, as her fickle song will only lead you towards death. This is a warning, and the story of the Wolf and the Serpent.

    Summary

[AU-ish Veilguard rewrite with all of the missing politics and religion, while being as compliant to previously established lore as possible and bringing back beloved characters of yore that were conspicuously absent]

This begins in a rather familiar way: After trying to track his old pal Solas across Thedas for the last several years, Varric Tethras and a ragtag little group he rounded up during his travels, find the infamous Dread Wolf performing a ritual they think will tear down the Veil and drown the world in demons. They take the opportunity to stop him. He is bamboozled in the moment, but unfortunately they were wrong about what he was doing. They make a big mess of everything and start a Blight, with a capital B. This forces Rook into an unwanted leadership role that she doesn't think she's qualified for, but someone has to find a bunch of heroes and unite Thedas to face this new threat of cataclysmic proportions.
