“So. You are their newest Corporal,” Ao’nung said. He glanced down at my vest then, which had badges that indicated my name and rank. I didn’t think he could read them – how could he? Who would have taught him? I wasn’t sure, but given he was speaking English, someone had to be teaching him something.
“Ao’nung,” I said, through my teeth. “You animal. Do you have any idea how savage what you just did was?”
He smacked the side of my face, silencing me. He leaned in closer then, inches from my face, eyes smoldering.
“What I did was savage?” he seethed.

Summary
Just like the many amazing Slytherin Harry Potter fics, this is my take on what would happen if Harry Potter was just a little bit smarter, a little bit crueler, and acted a little bit more like the Slytherin we knew he could be.
Takes inspiration from too many stories to count, but includes tropes like Slytherin Harry, awesome goblins, Dumbledore bashing, and Harry destroying any machinations laid out for him simply by existing and giving things a second thought. He refuses to be anybody's puppet.
After Harry was introduced to the wizarding world, some red flags were raised and questions left unanswered, so he decided to ditch his babysitter and return to Diagon Alley unsupervised. Harry returned to the bank and found that Dumbledore had been manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Eager to leave the Dursleys behind, Hadrian - he learned his name was - will do whatever it takes to get out from under Dumbledore's thumb, even if it means walking a darker path than expected of the Wizarding world's Savior.

Summary
When Harry Potter irrevocably drags Draco Malfoy into his life, it is without warning, and he calls him by the wrong name the entire time. To be fair, Draco only realises it is Harry Potter at the same time that Potter realises he isn’t ‘Liam’, so those two things kind of cancel each other out. All one has to do is squint.

“How is it that I’m doing this whole Muggle college experience better than you?” muttered Draco as he slapped his wand against Harry’s palm and watched the backpack grow.“Yeah, I’ve been wondering too,” said Harry in a low voice that did horrible things to Draco’s insides. “What are you doing here, studying History? The adults in his life are willing to turn a blind eye to his ever-increasing issues, so long as they’re able to maintain their idea of a savior and keep their plans in place.When Harry Potter arrived at Hogwarts, Severus Snape's life became exponentially harder as he tried to field threats against a boy he didn’t even like and take up spy work again at the same time. With the return of the Dark Lord, Severus also suddenly had to work to protect his godson from the threat looming over them; if Draco fell into the Dark Lord’s hands like his father, he would never escape.
Severus is content to allow the obvious problems rising in Potter to be addressed by the boy’s other teachers, and the people who cared for him. However, as more issues arose and intensified, one thing became obvious: Severus may be the only person with both the power to help Potter, and the will to do so.- Language:
