So fine that her best friend has dragged her on an emergency vacation to Mexico to attempt to bring her back to the land of the living.
Not that she needs it. Of course not.
She also absolutely does not need to be railed to within an inch of her life by the gorgeous stranger who she can't quite manage to stay away from.

Summary
Violet Sorrengail has been Professor of Magical Histories for over half a decade at the Basgiath Academy for the Arcane Arts. She knows the value of her field of study; the problem is proving that value to her superiors. So when a hotshot shadowmancy professor joins the faculty, Violet is understandably upset when he gets funding that was allocated to her.
