Summary
Regulus Black is saved by Narcissa Malfoy. Sirius sees reason instead of seeing red (mostly thanks to Remus) and Albus Dumbledore is misguided but not a complete idiot. As a result, Harry Potter grows up in a somewhat functional family and things play out rather differently because of that.
