Summary
He had essentially become a shining example of what a G.U.N. agent should be. He was efficient, he was deadly, and he was purposeful, at least until everything went wrong. During a routine mission he had lost control, made one small mistake, and that single mistake caused everything to spiral out of control. He had killed more people than he had intended to, and it raised enough questions with the unnamed higher-ups that Walters kept mentioning that he had to be officially taken off field duty. It wasn’t a decision that Stone had wanted to make, an opinion that he had clearly voiced to the withering old man many, many times, but there was nothing to be done.
When Stone had been told that he was going to be assigned to work with the incredibly volatile Doctor Robotnik, he knew what that meant. We can’t find anywhere else to put you, Walters practically said, this is your last chance to be here, and our last chance to fix him.
Alternatively: Stone eventually comes to work with the Doctor, but his past haunts him. The constant stress of his job, the verbal abuse from Robotnik, and his feelings for the man all come together to torment him.

Summary
Doctor Robotnik's satellites pick up some mysterious readings on a remote trail in Colorado. When he and Agent Stone arrive to investigate the phenomenon, they find a little girl claiming to be Robotnik's relative instead.
Robotnik hates children. He doesn’t need family, and he certainly doesn’t care what happens to her, not even a little - fortunately, Stone is surprisingly good with kids. Now all they have to do is get her home without too much trouble… or accidentally shattering the space-time continuum.
