“Fine, fine.” Taurtis tugged it off and Sam snatched it from him, planting it hard on his hair again. He stalked over to Grian in complaint and folded his arms tightly. Grian slid to the left. “You guys need to stop loitering.”
“I bought a hot dog.” Grian pointed out. “Sam’s the one loitering.”
“You guys are picking on me.”
Grian raised his eyebrows at his hot-dog without looking up. “Us? We would never.”

It’d be easy to ignore it, but Yuki obliged. Not for the sake of respect, or for the sake of Grian, no. She shut the door behind her, blinked as her eyes adjusted to the light. The only reason she let him have that one sliver of hope was because she wanted the men outside to know she had more claws than any of them.
But her voice stayed obnoxiously cheery when she greeted, “Hi!”
Grian sat on the floor. Criss-cross. He wore his own grin, loose, teeth the most visible part in the dark. Yuki intertwined her fingers behind her back and leaned over him. Wary not to get too close. “People keep telling me you’re causing problems, huh?”
Phone call after phone call. Monday turned to Wednesday to the Friday afternoon that brought her into the room. Every man she’d stationed in the parlour had tried or begged to kill him.
“Oh, ‘problem’ is such a big word for it.”
He really ought to have been more grateful she didn’t let them.

One of the perks of having a rich husband, in Tubbo’s opinion, is getting to send out the fanciest, most over-the-top invitations for what is, essentially, a small dinner for friends and family. The size of the dinner does not matter. The amount of invitations being set out does not matter. The fact that Tubbo can commission a calligrapher to make ten overly-decorated and horrendously fancy cards to invite people to his home is what matters.

Author got the complicated dynamic down very well, and also the details about the snow and the water on the floor stuck with me a lot (as. Guy who used to live in the snow and sludge)

Summary
Sam’s life is a great big joke, likely the cosmic kind of joke. Or at the very least if it isn’t a joke it is definitely the plot of some B string movie. The genre of which Sam desperately wants to be comedy or romance or something normal, unfortunately due to Sam’s whole ‘thing’ the genre is definitely horror.
Sam’s whole ‘thing’ is the seeing ghosts thing.
