Summary
There are only sixteen ways to silence Wei Wuxian, so far, when he absolutely will not silence himself, but Lan Wangji considers this list a work in progress. Perhaps it will be the work of his lifetime, a feat worth immortalizing in song and story.
Not that this particular method will find its way into a song for anyone else’s ears.

"I want to read it," Jiang Cheng said as he tried to wrestle the letter out of Wei Ying's hands.
Wei Ying held it over their heads. "It's addressed to me, and I will throw it in the pool."
They were in Jiang Cheng's bedroom, a full ten blocks from the community pool where they were spending the summer lifeguarding. Still, this was enough of a threat that Wei Ying could take advantage of Jiang Cheng's momentary hesitance to scramble up the ladder to the top of the bunk bed. Wei Ying had long experience keeping Jiang Cheng at the bottom with swinging feet. "DEAREST YINGYING, ORCHESTRA CAMP IS TRULY DREADFUL WITHOUT YOU HERE. I FIND MYSELF BORED TO TEARS—"
"Huaisang did not write that!"
"Shut up, I'm READING."
In the present, Wei Ying finds himself separated from his family and friends when he travels to help Lan Zhan move into a new home.
In the past, Nie Huaisang brings a new friend back from summer orchestra camp.
