Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell's leave from the suicide mission is off to a rough start. He's woken by Phoenix and Bradley bringing to him an injured child they claim is Jake "Hangman" Seresin, whose leave is arguably off to a rougher start. Going from being thirty to ten, is odd, but he's bruised and jumpy too.

Summary
In 1994, then Commander Tom "Iceman" Kazansky receives word of a child he never knew existed. Said child is impulsive, angry, and prefers be alone.The reviews remind him of his former wingman. In the years that ensue, his former wingman and the others from their class, form a sort of pseudo family. One that is shattered, nearly a decade later.
Bradley all but cuts them off as he begins his career and Jake joins the Naval Academy underneath his mother's name, determined to make it on his own.
2017-A dangerous Uranium mission calls back Captain Mitchell and Lieutenants Bradshaw and Seresin to Top Gun, where the past and its secrets boil to the surface.
AKA: The Dagger Squad slowly learns one-by-one that Jake is a Kazansky, that Maverick is Rooster's godfather and they make up a family unit.- Language:
