Summary
France and England have always had a complicated relationship. They were constantly at each other’s throats- it was a fact that nobody could deny. Although, unbeknownst others, England secretly felt differently.
The two countries loved fighting for fighting’s sake. Though- something neither of them would ever admit- they secretly enjoyed each other's company. Throughout every era of history, they had always been there for each other- France cannot exist without England, and vice versa. It was the humiliating truth, which England would refuse with his life, that the two of them had always been closest to each other out of everyone else.
What happens when he’s forced to face his feelings?

A story with two characters from the anime & manga “Hetalia” where England (Arthur) is a detective looking for a French spy (Francis).
I swear it slowly gets better, it just isn’t that great when I first write as it’s a bit rocky and all over the places.
Please also be mindful I am terrible at writing - it’s just how I cope with feelings and what not. I am fine with people suggesting help or giving feedback , just not too harsh as I take things very seriously sometimes.

“What?” Francis repeated, seemingly struck dumb by the harshness in the Brit’s voice. “I- I’m sorry, I just wanted to--”
“To what, Francis? Tease me? As if you don’t do that enough already, what with your meaningless flirting and all; it’s absolutely humiliating!”
The older man looked away at the brick wall next to him-- a bit ashamed. Arthur suddenly, despite his better judgment, felt a bit guilty for causing such a despondent look on him.
“What do you want, Francis?” he asked in a softer tone, still agitated, but softer.
