Summary
In an alternate timeline, That Thing At The Lake doesn't quite happen, but severs Chase's relationships with his friends, and gets him labelled a "problem child." He grows up with that stigma, watching that one moment at the lake ruin his entire life. Then, on the first day of school, he finds himself in a class with an old friend, and gets stuck in another class with a fellow problem child. Can he make amends for his past and patch up some of his old friendships? Or does his reputation as the problem child control his life?
And what the hell came over him that day at the lake?

I've made a long, hard (lol) journey to get to Shelter. To meet him-- the most infamous rogue canine country every produced. But for all the stories, all the dashing deeds and underhanded dealings and skilled spycraft...
...Nobody told me he's hot.Just a quick bit of Alon smut. I guess it's sort of techincally a self-insert, the character is my 'sona, I suppose? But I keep descriptions of the main character light, so feel free to insert yourself into the story, and by way of the story, into Alon. Murr.

I built a work skin for use on AO3 to be able to easily use the font used in-game for Embers. Just copy and paste it from below. Also, AO3 workskins don't preserve comments, so the below can be used to better understand how to use these workskins. Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. I'm not actually an html or css programmer at all, so I'll be the first to admit this is sort of cobbled together. But it's better than nothing.
PS-- Someone remind me to ask Raus what the body text typeface is, or someone ask him for me. I'm using Arcon as a placeholder, but if anyone knows or remembers what it is, let me know. I can't datamine the game files like I could for Echo, lol.
