Summary
Yelric is a young, curious wood elf from Baldur's Gate who has always loved animals and forged friendships with the local wildlife. He finds himself plucked from his insignificant existence and thrown head-first into a crazy adventure. It is a race against the clock to find a way to save himself, his home, and possibly the entire Sword Coast. Along the way, he discovers more about himself, makes new friends, and falls in love with a dangerous vampire.
Told through Yelric’s perspective as he journals his experiences at night in front of the campfire.
*Will contain spoilers for BG3 and companion character arcs*
*There will be brief mentions of past rape/non-con and abuse that are both canon in BG3 and part of Yelric’s backstory but nothing graphic.

*There are brief mentions of past rape/non-con that are both canon in BG3 and part of the Tav's backstory but nothing graphic.
*The story does contain potential spoilers for BG3 and certain origin characters' potential arcs, most notably Astartion.
*Yes, I named my Tav after one of my favorite NPC from Critical Role, they are a drow and a wizard but that is where any similarities end. :)

Summary
Right as Essek prepares to incite action with a word, Bren slowly rises and rights himself with the stillness of a marble statue. He turns. From day to night, the look he gives Essek when his eyes swivel back shoots ice through his bloodstream; it is a look of hot murder. It is a hunger like primeval revenge.
Bren sets his jaw, eyes darkening. He jabs to the vanity with his chin. “Put it on.”
Essek swallows. He tests his invisible binds. “Why?”
Bren’s mouth sharpens into a knife-smile. “Because I want to watch you cry it off.”

“What, do you think this is my entire plan? A year-long espionage campaign conducted for the sole purpose of seeing the spymaster of this realm in his shirtsleeves? Get over yourself.” Caleb had thought that a trip to an herbalist’s shop had seemed like a perfectly innocuous prospect. Doing so while following Essek through the maze-like alleys and corridors of the Night Market had even seemed like a pleasant way to while away a chilly autumn afternoon. Now, though? Now Essek is sprawled out on the divan in Caleb’s study, looking anxious, flushed, and more than a little feverish. Caleb has to admit: the day’s events have taken a bit of a turn.
