Summary
September 9th, 1973. Lestat deals with the aftermath of thinking Louis is gone and only ends up making more trouble for himself.
Lestat wakes the next evening with a smile on his face. In the quiet dark of the coffin, he's happy. He reaches to pull Louis closer, but only touches the walls of the coffin. There is nothing and no one there. He is alone.
