    Everyone is born with at least one black mark on their body, a mark that changes colors upon the first contact with their soulmate/s.
    In this sense, Deku is no different.
    But that is where his similarities stop.

    After working for the yakuza throughout his childhood, Deku is captured during a raid. He meets Present Mic and Eraserhead, who decide to take him to UA rather than send him to a juvenile detention center. Adjusting to the challenging support course and a functional home is difficult enough on it's own, and now this criminal also has to deal with two annoying soulmates.
    Will his first experience with unconditional love and support get him to break down his carefully constructed walls? Or will they strengthen as he tries to hold on to his old life?

    They say that you can either let the world destroy you or destroy the world. Izuku doesn't know which category he falls into, but he does know that he won't let anyone be hurt like he was hurt if he can help it.

    With unconventional methods, a few broken bones and self-sacrificing attitude, the vigilante dubbed Carbon Cat attempts to balance crime fighting, evading arrest, living alone, and high school. He can't tell which one is the most difficult.

    OR: in which Izuku never receives One For All, becomes a vigilante and tries to keep everyone at an arms length. Doesn't mean they'll let him, though.

    Even without a quirk, Izuku Midoriya never gave up on the dream he’s carried since childhood. He simply took a different path—now working hard to support Heroes from the sidelines in the best way he knows how. Through kindness and perseverance, his natural instinct to act before he thinks stays deeply rooted within him and he’s become acknowledged as a Hero even to the Heroes themselves.

    But when compassion leads into obsession, Izuku finds himself at the center of a violent attack that threatens everything he’s worked for and all of the people around him.

    And amidst the chaos, he’s saved by an unexpected force some might call fate:
    A Hero known for his chillng power and even colder reputation.
    A man forged from fire and pain—calculated, unfeeling, and expected to be nothing else.

    Izuku sees something beyond the surface, however—and the more often their paths cross, the more he wonders:

    Izuku Midoriya has been beaten down, abused, and bent to his limit, and after a traumatic injury almost breaks him, Izuku finds the resolve he needs to challenge the world that tried to destroy him. Using his knowledge of invention passed down to him from his father, Izuku decides to force the world to see his worth. To show them that you don't need a quirk to be worth it in this world.

    Unfortunately, when you challenge the world, the world tends to fight back...

    He never planned to go to the bank that day.
    He never planned for the building to fall.
    He sure as hell never planned for the number one hero to pass on his quirk to him, and die shortly after.

    Years later, six years to be precise, he’s a vigilante on the streets of Mutsutafu. His take down of All For One is no secret, and his presence as the vigilante Omen is adored. He loves his fanbase, but he doesn’t appreciate the constant pursuit of the media for new pictures and flimsy stories.

    So, when a certain sleep-deprived hero approaches him about a teaching gig, with little-to-no restrictions he’s quite hasty to reply. UA wants anything Izuku is willing to provide for their third years…

    Wait. Their third years? Like Izuku’s age third years? Class 3A?

    Oh shit. He’s totally in.

     

    Or, Izuku being the Number One Hero to the public, but a vigilante in actuality and people knowing virtually nothing about him. So, UA offers him a job to teach 3A, and also try and get the teen to have a support system and not go it alone because life at the top is lonely.
