“Can’t keep up, old man?” Daniel called as he disappeared farther down, his body moving so much faster than it had been able to a year ago. Armand should have been saying that to him, all things considered, but he just rolled his eyes and followed him. Daniel wasn’t held back by pain or old age anymore, able to move around as he liked- another perk of his new life.
Daniel had little care that he was teasing a centuries old vampire with the power to throw him into a building with the flick of his finger, knowing he’d be safe from punishment no matter what he did. Armand supposed that’s what happened when he was equals with someone, although he didn’t have a lot of experience with the idea.
He had to run a bit to catch up with him: it was frankly offensive, but Armand did love a chase.
