When King Auguste of Vere asks his brother Laurent to go to Ios for their most sacred festival of the year Laurent and some of his men decide to go as a favor to Auguste and to foster goodwill with their new Akielon allies.
Only recently having opened up trade and communications with Akielos, Laurent has no idea how the Akielons celebrate their annual Fire Festival. His hosts are notoriously tight-lipped about what the festival entails but Laurent is determined to enjoy himself and become immersed in all the local traditions.
