I could feel the cold breeze of the night passing by my skin as I put on my gloves. Soon enough it will be our second Christmas in the trenches, and I wonder if things are going to be like last year. Sitting across from me is my best friend, Hans, I watched him as he lit up a cigarette which illuminated the atmosphere on this lonely, dark, night.
