Summary
Today started out like any other, something simple, typical. The type of day where nothing could go wrong and it felt like their usual pattern.
As the Zaunite went to set it aside to return to his notes and continue the research from last night, he started to hear something. Footsteps. But that wasn’t the strange thing that made him perk up in his chair and look at the door.
No, there were two sets of footsteps. Jayce’s, he recognized those by heart from their time together. A little heavy, not used to stepping light like Viktor did to avoid making sounds in the streets and back alleys of Zaun. Even his footfalls had a consistent rhythm, one that Viktor found his mind humming along to every time that he heard it.
The second… that was strange. They were pitter patters, almost. Not Heimerdinger, or his strange little ball of fluff that was his pet. Four steps, did this thing have four feet? It sounded like small claws pawing against the floors of the academy halls. And if he focused enough, he could hear the sound of something metal jingling, paired with another sound that he barely recognised.
Panting.

“And what is that?” Jayce crosses his arms. The man sets the chalk down and turns to face Jayce head on.
“That you lack patience. The only solution for which is time and more experience.” Jayce can’t help but scoff.

Jayce butts heads with one of the Professors in the Grad Department and he can't figure out why the guy pisses him off so much.
On top of that, it’s the end of his senior year at college and he's still a virgin. Jayce decides to take matters into his own hands.

"Excuse me?" Spider-Man turned to the mercenary, soon after stuffing a piece of his hotdog into his mouth.
'What kind of weirdo is my best friend to say something like that?'
Deadpool gasped, squealing like a schoolgirl. "I KNEW you liked me!! I can't believe you never told me I was your best friend!"
Peter narrowed his eyes, chewing his hotdog. "I...didn't say that out loud did I?"
AU parody of "What Women Want" where Wade wakes up suddenly able to hear Peter's thoughts and he uses it to become closer to him.

Oh, fuck Wade and his stalker habits! The team turned towards Peter, and Tony raised a victorious brow.
"He follows you, Peter," Tony said, and that smug look transformed into one of horror. Hah. Take that. "Peter, this maniac is following you. This mercenary."
He has attachment issues. Peter doesn't say that, obviously, but he holds it back. The last thing the Avengers need to know is that Peter is dating the, according to them, homicidal maniac.
OR: Peter is dating Wade Wilson. See, this would be all nice and dandy if the Avengers (AKA Tony) would mind their own damn business. Instead, Wade and Peter are forced to evade, hide from, and fight the Avengers (see: Tony) to maintain their relationship... until, one day, they realize that they may have judged Wade a little too fast.

After Peter drops off the face of the earth for a week, Wade goes to Aunt May as a last resort. There he discovers that Peter is in the hospital after falling into an unnatural sleep. Wade must go on a journey to the Land of the Dead to guide Peter's soul back home.

Strange turned towards Wade. “This man’s soul has been ripped from his body.”
“Okaayyy…” Wade drew the word out, even though it was very much not okay. “How do we fix that?”
“We don’t.” Strange said matter-of-factly. “His soul is already in the Land of the Dead. There’s no bringing it back. Do you know who did this?”
Wade couldn’t hear over the rushing in his ears. He stumbled to the chair. There’s no bringing Peter back? That’s not possible. He’s right there, alive. Breathing. He’s not gone. Not forever. Not before Wade even—he’s not gone.
“How do I get there? Where Pete’s soul is?” Wade demanded. “How do I bring him back?”
