Booking joint swim lessons for yourself and your five year old daughter sounds like a great idea until you're waist-high in chlorine, trapped in a pack of other single parents, with an obnoxiously cheerful instructor dropping cliches on you like they're going out of style. All of which is bad enough without an unfairly hot guy doing casual laps across the pool — an unfairly hot guy who won't stop grinning at you.

Summary
The soirée is somewhat of an informal yearly tradition. Though this will be only its second occasion, there is already talk in the village of it happening again next year. It is to take place on the anniversary of the Unicorn exhibition in the Maritime Gallery, and will feature space suits and samples of moon rock alongside Tintin’s photographs of the moon’s surface and memorabilia from the rocket.
The maritime gallery, saloon and entrance hall will open up to guests at 7pm. Waiting staff are arranged for, invitations go out to the whole village as well as to select members of the scientific community, handpicked by the Professor. The order of champagne placed is illustrious. The canapés, they are assured, will be exquisite.
