Паника накатила с новой силой, он слепо зашарил по карманам, пытаясь найти… С пугающим осознанием юноша заторможенно обернулся. Его ингалятор валялся между крепких мускулистых лап одного из псов.

"…Good," Blade finally says. He squeezes Dan Heng's hand—not harshly, not to hurt, just to hold him tightly, to etch the feeling into his fleeting memory. "I'm not going to chase you down when the moment arrives, whenever that may be."
Blade's gaze does not leave Dan Heng's eyes, watching for the dragon's tells, those little reactions he's come to know across their encounters.
Dan Heng steps even closer, narrowing his eyes as he tilts his head up to keep his gaze locked with Blade's. "I think if you had to chase me, you would."

"That man... He was touching you...", he mutters, half expecting Ren to not hear him as he embarrassedly confesses.
But alas, he does and Ren huffs amused, "I see. So you were jealous, that explains it".
Dan Heng looks back at him, indignation on his face, "What? I'm not jealous".
"You are, but I don't mind it, jealousy rather suits you", with another tug at his hair, Ren brings Dan Heng closer and leans down until his mouth is mere inches away from Dan Heng's ear. "I can still feel the touch of that man, the touch of someone that isn't you... So? What are you going to do about it? I am at your mercy", Ren whispers and nibbles teasingly at his ear.
Dan Heng looks for Ren in Penacony.

Summary
[ The man who rises from the closest table to the thrones is younger than Dan Heng expected. He is tall and his dark eyes are hooded by even darker brows, his mouth set in a pin-straight line. His hair sits behind his head in a bun that spills out of its binds.
Their eyes catch for a heartbeat and Dan Heng averts his immediately, shifting them to his bare, dirty feet. In the corner of his eyes, the General approaches the display in the middle of the room. The plinth to the left of Dan Heng hosts a casket of gold and the one on the right holds a sword.
“Surely that sword,” he hears someone say.
“Oh, but last time he chose a sword too. He might take that bow there.”
Just as Dan Heng is beginning to feel a modicum of relief in thinking this man must prefer weapons, a shadow falls over him.
“This one.” ]

After six years of imprisonment, Dan Heng is no longer a stranger to cages. When the general of the conquering nation chooses him as a war prize, he has already resigned himself to a fate of servitude.
But the general's motive lie elsewhere and another fate awaits him in this land of eternal snow.
