    Summary

    Steve and Bucky have been together since the 1930s and no amount of time has changed how they feel about each other.

    It's been a few years since Steve was found by the Avengers and moved into the upstate facility full time with Tony, Pepper, Natasha, Clint, and Sam. Thor is pretty much always around and T'Challa visits often. When the group isn't out on missions, they have team bonding days, family dinners, and chill nights together in the common rooms.

    A year or so ago, Steve finally got his Bucky back, who has been cleansed of all his HYDRA programming. Since then, Bucky's moved into Steve's apartment with him and they finally have the chance to live the kind of life together that they always wanted to, but never could. Now, they finally have the chance to live semi-normal lives--sharing a bed, brushing their teeth together, having quiet conversations they've never had before, and it's all either of them could have ever wanted.

    Summary

    Dean still found it hard to believe they essentially had no job anymore. The gates of Hell and Heaven alike had been successfully closed by Sam, whose success was greatly supported by Kevin Tran (who was now back in Michigan with Linda). Sure, closing both gates didn’t mean that all supernatural beings magically disappeared, but it definitely simplified the Winchester’s lives. Excluded from Heaven, however, was Castiel who lost his grace moments before Metatron was locked away, to be dealt with by the remaining angels upstairs.
    With Sam settled down with Sarah in New York and finally finishing school, Dean actually had the chance to lead some semblance of an apple pie life, which, not surprisingly, included Castiel by his side. The only person shocked to realize something more than friendship was going on between the two, was Dean himself and even though their lives nestled in a tiny ranch just outside Sioux Falls was more domestic than he would have imagined, Dean actually really liked it.

    Lestat’s fingers paused abruptly over the piano keys, those words music enough for his ears.

    “Oh?” Lestat asked, his voice dipping with interest. “Tired of sharing?”

    “Mmm, not quite,” Louis replied, voice just as low. “I was actually hoping someone else might keep me company for a change.”

    The issue with helping Lestat fine-tune his lyrics, Louis was finding, had nothing to do with them butting heads while collaborating. Lestat was all gratitude when Louis offered edits, and he often incorporated his suggestions into the final product. Louis, for his part, felt honored to be consulted because he knew how intentional Lestat was with his art, knew how private it was deep down.

    That was exactly why Louis had to suck his teeth while reading Lestat’s latest draft.

    “You don’t like it,” Lestat observed from where he stood across his kitchen island. His tone was carefully measured, but not careful enough to hide the apprehension from Louis. Never from Louis.

    Whatever carefully blank expression Lestat is trying on disappears like a slap. “Armand made a fledgling. Why would he do that?” Lestat asks.

    “Oh, you know,” Louis says, watching the three dots of a new text pop up. “He knew Daniel was… important to me.”

    He means to say it with rueful annoyance, as if to say, “so he ruined him.” But as Daniel’s text comes in—the most important question I should have asked you in that fucking interview: where do you buy coke in Dubai?—Louis’s voice trails off, his words maybe lacking some of the bite.

    or

    Lestat misunderstands what Daniel is to Louis and tries to be a champ about it. Meanwhile Louis rediscovers his drug of choice—Lestat.
