1960s
Newly appointed deputy governor of Wentwoth, Vera Bennett, begins her new task of managing the high security isolation unit. Containing Australias most vicious serial killers.
One of them being the famous cannibal, Joan "The Freak" Ferguson.
Tensions rise with the mysterious death of the previous governor, media swarming like sharks, Vera's overbearing mother and a rebelling Wentworth. All while she falls into Joan's sea of endless obsession.
Very slight Silence of the Lambs au, with a touch of Killing Eve.
