To be honest, Jonny thought that Brian was dead.
Didn't fully believe it of course, the Mechanisms *are* quite well-known for being immortal after all, but getting vaporised inside of a star was certainly no plain bullet in the head, and of extremes that none of the Mechs had experienced before. So when he first heard that Brian failed at the one thing he'd been planning for the past several hundred years and had fallen into Avalon with the rest of Fort Galridian, Jonny didn't expect for him to ever be able to come back.BRIAN RESCUE FIC WOOOO
I somehow haven't found any fics about the rescue (<-didn't look hard at all) so I am fixing that now

The Hanged Man's eyes blinked open as he woke up from yet another dream.
Well, to simply call it a dream would be quite a heavy understatement. No, what he saw before waking up this morning was a vision. Prophetic dreams were no stranger to him, he was used to having one every few years by now, but this one felt different. What he saw wasn't anything that hadn't been previously revealed to him, but a confirmation of that which he tried to avoid. A finality. The passage of a deadline he couldn't meet. Fort Galfridian was doomed, and there was no longer anything that could be done to save it. He failed.This is a fanfic adaptation of this one ridiculously good and well-written dream I had last week that woke me up at 6AM on a Friday, the dream was simply of such incredible quality I couldn't *not* turn it into a fic
