A World of Warcraft series. Raineigh Dravenholdt was once a mage. Not a great mage, though she was powerful. It was the addiction that kept her from becoming something better. Coming close to becoming a Wretched because of it, a good friend rid her of her magic with a curse-mark that kept her perpetually drained of mana. Though it did not numb her from the hunger, it did keep her from feeding.
It also had an unforeseeable affect on her...all her life she had idolized Kael'thas Sunstrider. No...it was love. A completely unrealistic love of a man she had maybe spoken two words to. Delusions visit her when the hunger is bad, and she develops a relationship with the now-dead prince.
