A gloved finger pressed the button hovering above a devastated corpse. Flames and rubble present in the aftermath of a disaster.
The figure straightened up, other than a classic suit, they were wearing a white full-face mask, drawn on it was a simple emoticon: ^-^

I would recommend going in blindly. But this has heavy themes! Be very mindful!
An original oneshot I thought of while studying neurological physiology.
It has themes which are a mix between La Llorona, symptoms caused by hippocampal lesions and trauma responses!

What would you sacrifice for a world you were never meant to see?
A lifetime of darkness. A stolen body. A gnawing guilt. An unwillingly forced choice.
(Minor spoilers ahead. I would recommend going in blindly for maximum emotional punch. Pun intended.)
Waking up in the body of Oliver Hawk, Dallan experiences the impossible: sight. For the first time, he sees colors, faces, and a world more beautiful than he'd ever imagined. But this gift is a theft. He's taken the body of a beloved son, and his presence is destroying Oliver's family from the inside. He's a blind imposter in a seeing body's world.

Summary
A salary man gets sent to another world after death. But a shitty god didn't bother to bring him his wheelchair! This is a story about struggle. In particular, the struggle of living in a world that doesn't accommodate your needs. But also the struggle of self-hatred and healing, loneliness and dreams. This is also a story about building magical wheelchairs.

Bookmarker's Notes
A well thought-out story with fleshed out characters.
It's not only about being transported to another world, it's also about the struggles latching onto the main character from his past life.
The other characters are also not perfect. They're not cliché stereotypes/archetypes, they have their reasons for the way they act, and their own struggles. And things don't magically get better with the main character around.
The story has potential!
