The soft breeze of the wind goes through the manor's window, allowing fresh air to flow through his nostrils while he stops. Bertram sighs looking at the stars through the skylight as reference for his newest work, pinching the center of his nose as he grabbed his glasses to wipe them clean with a handkerchief.
A shift of a door being opened, he barely heard it as a soft voice suddenly broke through the silence like a knife, which caused Bertram to startle a bit and look behind him. Met with a sight of short grumpy husband in his midnight robes.
"Betty.." Severus said with a subtle menacing tone, he only ever called him that if he wanted something from him or upset at him.
