Summary
David Wymack tries not to put too much thought into it, especially considering the words that come out of the merman’s mouth afterwards, but he can’t help but to notice it’s the first time ever that Neil initiates touching him. Neil’s words are whispered, partially drowned things meant to be lost among shipwrecks and whale falls. Here, with only Wymack and him and the whirring grinding pumping of many many filtration systems, the words find themselves carefully given instead to Wymack.
