Summary
April 12th, 2011: The first day at Yasogami High for first-year student Kanji Tatsumi, and the first day of what will be a very long and strange year.
The events of Persona 4 Golden, as seen through the eyes of Inaba born-and-bred nuisance Kanji Tatsumi, and of the youngest of the Shirogane detective line, sent to Inaba to investigate a case that isn't at all as it first seems.
A long fanfiction started in 2012. Never posted, then revisited in 2023. At the encouragement of a friend, I've finally decided to make it readable.

Summary
In Spring 2011, news of a string of peculiar murders in rural Japan sweeps the nation, prompting a case designated for only the most seasoned junior detective to unveil the truth behind.
It takes an extraordinary group of teens with undecipherable motives (especially the physical manifestation of the word 'contradiction', Kanji Tatsumi) to break through the hard exterior that is the ace detective’s unwavering stubbornness, and even more so, the crux of the mystery.
The chronological events of Persona 4 Golden through the eyes of Naoto Shirogane, fifth in line of the greatly revered Shirogane lineage.
What if the character development experienced through protagonist-enabled social links between the Investigation Team members were independent of the player’s input? What if Kanji Tatsumi and Naoto Shirogane, Inaba’s most unlikely duo, came to accept themselves through one another?
The scenes we never got to see.
Rated Mature to be safe - depictions of gore/violence, light references to sexual themes.
