This takes place after “Fair Haven” but probably before “Spirit Folk.” Seven has also assumed a disguise in “Fair Haven” to discover what all the fuss is about.
This is a story of how two people playing roles can accidentally find a very real love.

It took the end of the world to realize she was never in Adora’s vortex, as she had once liked to think of it (all consuming, painful, inescapable). There was never any reason to fight or claw or scream for her place within her storm. She was never caught in the wind, swinging out wildly, hands reaching for her, for golden, darling Adora, who Catra had wanted so badly, she was willing to die out in the gale.
Needless.
Why did it take until now to realize that she wasn’t in the hurricane? She was in the eye. She had always been there."
