It is this man who strikes a bargain with the lord of the dead, and when he does, Patroclus finds himself suddenly in Asphodel without memory of Tartarus. It is in Asphodel he waits, and it is in Asphodel he mourns.
This is not that story. Because in this story, the Lord of the Dead seeks him out first.
