Summary
A short fic set after s2e7 - with an alternative arrangement of events:
Ch 1: “Raze Eregion. Leave no Elf alive. But bring me their leaders.”
Ch 2: Interactions between Elrond, Galadriel, Arondir, Vorohil, Durin and elvish survivors as they flee from the city - some time for healing and reflection.
Ch 3: Galadriel, Elrond and Arondir go over previous events and find a measure of peace.

Summary
1930s France - aboard the luxury train Étoile du Nord (Star of the North).
Adventure - banter - and disguise.
"Conductor," called a disinterested voice from the next table. The young man sighed, bowing to the lady before moving along.
"Yes sir?"
An elegantly dressed man sat alone in the next pair of seats with a newspaper stretched out across the small table. Black hat pulled low over his eyes, the gentleman had not moved to steady his precarious cup of tea, instead watching calmly as the amber liquid sloshed against the side.
"Perhaps you would deign to check my ticket?"

Summary
As they sweltered side by side in the midday sun, dress cloaks weighing heavily on their shoulders, Porthos eyed each of his friends in turn. Athos, eyes to the front; Aramis, eyes on the pretty daughter of the Duke; and D'Artagnan, pointedly avoiding Porthos' gaze.
One of them was guilty.
One of them was enjoying his discomfort.
One of them had taken his hat!
