Summary
The United States has implemented laws requiring all fertile omegas to be registered with the new theocratic government and distributed for use as breeders to rich and powerful Alphas.
Even though he's the only omega in the league, Shane Hollander thought he'd be safe playing one last game in the states before the new laws officially went into effect. After all, he's not even a US citizen.
He was wrong.
Think of this as a sort of queer-ified, alternate take on The Handmaid's Tale, but make it omegaverse. Specifically masc-omega-4-masc-omega. It's dark and violent and angsty but the guys do get their HEA eventually, even if they have to go the long way around to get there.

Yuna Hollander had always been fiercely protective of her son. Shane had always had a gentle heart, and kids had noticed and bullied him mercilessly. By nine, he stood out from the other kids because he was so much better at hockey.
As the other boys discovered girls, Shane discovered new moves on the ice. Yuna was the team mom. She heard the boys whispering about girls and about first kisses. She would see Shane hear them and watch as he quickly laced his skates and skated away. He never joined in the talk.
Jessica had come and gone in less than a season, and Shane had always looked uncomfortable holding her hand. When she had brought it up with David, he had sighed and said, “When he’s ready, he’ll find a very nice young man.” She teared up, and he said, “Honey.”
“He wants to go into the MLH, David. They won’t be kind to our boy.”
He nodded but said, “We’ll be there for him. It will be okay.”
Then along came Ilya Rozanov.
Yuna Hollander has always done everything in her power to protect her son. But when Scott Hunter chirps at him while mic’d she realizes she might have missed the mark and Shane needs more help than just her.

Which is probably not something to do in the middle of a game. And, oh yeah, he just outed both himself and his not-boyfriend to an entire locker room of hockey players.
But that’s okay, because while Boston may be vicious, they do take care of their own. And they quickly realize that their captain’s happiness and willingness to stay with the Bears is tied to Shane Hollander. The solution is easy, they’ll just have to make Shane Hollander a Bear.
