His lackeys protested. The new kids stayed silent.
A tree grows, they say. Branches split, ideas form, some strong, some weak. And then there are the fissures—paths that should never exist.
In one world, Bakugou would have walked back home with his friends.
"Bakugou! Where are you going?!"
"Hey, wait up!"
In this one, he turned his back on his friends. One step. One choice. The world shifted. A branch snapped. A fissure opened. What if he’d waited? What if he did something entirely different? No one would ever know. No one would ever see.
