    The red strings of fate were a curse that constantly followed him. A reminder tied to his finger that Kiyoomi would never be able to remove. Another mark to show his inadequacies and how he was set apart from everyone else.

    Other people thought the red strings that connected them to another were a blessing. Other people constantly spoke about soulmates and how amazing they were, how special they were. A person created for you and only you. A person who was your other half.

    All Kiyoomi saw was an obligation. The obligation to touch them, the obligation to kiss them, the obligation to love them. Those obligations would strangle him. Press down on him harder and harder until he was crushed under the burden of it all. Because the thought of touching his fated half like that made him shudder in disgust.
