Summary
Music was pulsing around them from an invisible source, and Hermione’s jaw dropped slightly as she took in her surroundings. The witches were no strangers to parties; they were young and fit, after all.
But she was not prepared for the sight of a nightclub carved into the side of a Bulgarian mountain to celebrate the Quidditch World Cup.
Torches lined the cavernous walls, and balls of conjured flames flaring in different colors dotted the space. Platforms suspended by thick chains hung from the ceiling, and Hermione knew she’d find Pansy among the witches and wizards dancing upon them before the night was over.
Two German beaters soared over the crowd on broomsticks, batting a bludger back and forth between them. Every time their bats made contact with the ball, a shower of confetti rained down on the dancers below.
Pansy broke the enamored silence, “I think Viktor well and truly undersold this…”
Hermione choked out a laugh, “He said, and I quote, ‘it’s casual, Herminny.’”
“Casual?” Pansy repeated. “I think I’m already pregnant.”

Undersecretary Parvati Patil will step in as Interim Minister for six weeks while Minister Granger takes a short period of maternity leave.
“I look forward to welcoming my little one, and acting as both Minister for Magic and mum. I plan to be fully contactable during my leave, and will resume all ministerial duties upon my return.”
The Minister will not be disclosing the identity of the child’s father at this time.
