Summary
Ever since the Human and Demon Realms had finally settled, Luo Binghe had entered a deeply alarming phase of self-discovery—by which Shen Qingqiu meant the boy suddenly had free time and no clue what normal people did with it.
Instead of brooding or conquering realms, Luo Binghe had developed hobbies. And every single hobby had produced a “gift.”
Gardening was the newest obsession. A “simple” plant meant to nourish his recovering core. “Very easy to care for,” Luo Binghe had written cheerfully. “Water once every six moons.”
Perfect for a man whose past-life track record with greenery could be summarized as “serial cactus executioner.”
But would it have killed the boy to mention that watering it any more often would cause it to balloon to the size of a small cottage, achieve sentience, and learn to walk?
Perhaps then Shen Qingqiu wouldn’t currently be wrestling with a leafy monstrosity determined to sprint into the laundry room and gnaw on the linens like a particularly opinionated goat.

Shen Qingqiu sighed, setting the finished wreath in his lap. “That’s quite enough honesty for one afternoon, don’t you think?”
Liu Qingge made a noncommittal sound. “You were the one keeping score.”
“True,” Shen Qingqiu said lightly. “And since you’ve been a model of restraint and patience—rare qualities, I might add—you deserve a reward.”
Before Liu Qingge could ask what he meant, Shen Qingqiu reached up and, with the solemnity of someone performing a sacred rite, settled the wreath on his head.
The petals brushed his hair; the faint scent of begonia filled the air. Shen Qingqiu leaned back to inspect his handiwork—and smiled, warm and open in a way that hit like sunlight after days of rain.
Liu Qingge’s mind caught a single thought—
—beautiful.Then it went perfectly, utterly blank.
or: Shen Qingqiu falls under the curse of truth, and Liu Qingge is falling mad, trying to keep his shixiong safe.

Summary
The disciples had barely recovered from the sight of their esteemed master single-handedly tearing a full bronze mirror from the wall when they realized he fully intended to haul it all the way back to Qing Jing Peak.
“Shizun,” Ming Fan ventured cautiously, watching Shen Qingqiu stride ahead with the massive mirror slung across his shoulder like some deranged traveling peddler, “shouldn’t… shouldn’t we leave that object where it is?”
“And permit some other sect—or worse, passing opportunists—to claim it and put it to vile use? This Master would never allow such calamity to take root.”
Except, what came out of Shen Qingqiu's mouth was, “I need this mirror to beat Shang Qinghua over the head with it until he coughs up an explanation.”
…Wait...what?!
or: Shen Qingqiu accidentally falls under the curse of truth, leaving Liu Qingge to wonder if this is the day his shixiong has finally given in to madness.
