For the first time in ages, he positioned two of his arms together, forming the design that Grace thought of like a family crest, a single design bisected.

    "You should teach me to read those before we get to Erid, so I can be polite." As Grace considered the linework, already picking up on some vague ideas from the shapes in Rocky's carapace, something else occurred to him. "So… I picked 'Rocky' because your outer shell looks like stone."

    "And for inspirational story of athlete who defeats human system of poverty to become great champion. Eye of the tiger."

    "Retroactively, yeah." Grace bent at the hips, getting to Rocky's 'eye' level. "So what'd you name me?"

    “You’re a bit dense, aren’t you?” Tom pays no mind to the offended squawk he gets in response, nodding to himself like it’s a truth he’s decided on. “That’s okay. A pretty face is more important than brains.”
    That seems to finally snap the man out of his nervous stammering. His blue eyes widen for a second, before narrowing, his pretty pink lips twisting into a grimace. Tom has the feeling that he may have said something he shouldn’t have.
    “I have a doctorate in molecular biology. Please don’t insult my intelligence, under the pretense of complimenting me.”

    Or, Tom Ryder meets his fall guy's twin, who just arrived on set after some UNESCO conference and refuses to give Tom his number.

    Colt stares at him for a moment—almost looks like he’s sizing him up, or maybe reevaluating all previous notions he’d had about him.
    “Really.” Colt’s voice is held carefully flat.
    “Yes.”
    Colt stares at the table and thinks very hard. His mouth fumbles for words before he says, “Who?”

    ”This… ‘thing’ is so important you’re fine working with this guy for the rest of your career?” Gail sputtered, disappointed by her wasted effort, no mind to it being for misconduct. “We can’t postpone it. It’s now or never babe.” She put her free hand on her hip to propose the ultimatum.

    ”What? Just save it for my next movie. Give me time to refine my romancing skills, boom we immediately fall in love, and Colt will be licking his wounds by next summer.” How embarrassing is it to admit out loud that The Tom Ryder needs time to romance someone. Usually his presence alone has people begging for his attention. In his defense, how could’ve he known that grace incarnate would visit set on a random Friday? Soulmates need more than three days to cultivate, Ryland has patience. He’s a great listener, not to mention that he lived with Colt. Yeah. Whoosh. A person like Ryland has high standards, and Tom obviously meets them of course, he just needs to showcase his abilities.
