"You!" He pointed at Yoo Joonghyuk accusingly. "Do you keep asking me all these weird questions because you're sizing up the competition?"
A crack appeared in Yoo Joonghyuk's composure. Kim Dokja couldn't quite identify it before it vanished. Whatever it was, it had been triggered by an accusation that was both wrong and alarmingly close to the truth.
"And if I am?" Yoo Joonghyuk asked quietly, recovering from his momentary lapse.
Kim Dokja let out a triumphant laugh, throwing his head back against the headrest of his chair. "I knew i—"
"But not in the way you're thinking," Yoo Joonghyuk cut him off.
Kim Dokja’s triumphant laugh choked instantly in his throat.
Kim Dokja is convinced Yoo Joonghyuk has a crush on his best friend, Han Sooyoung. As a responsible friend, he decides to help his intimidating roommate win her over. It goes exactly as well as you think it does.

“We must find you a queen.” Kim Dokja’s fingers played lightly with the parchment he held. He bit down onto his lips, his eyes averted from Yoo Joonghyuk’s gaze. “The nobles are growing increasingly restless as we speak…” He turned a page over, his lips thinning to a line. A sigh puffed from those mirthless lips of his as he massaged his brow. “The northern regions and the southern regions share the same sentiment about the instability of your rule. If we don’t consolidate your position with a child, a riot may ensue.”
“Kim Dokja,” Yoo Joonghyuk growled. “How many times will I have to repeat this? I do not wish for a queen. I do not need a queen. How much longer will you pester me with the meaningless wants of those filthy nobles?”
Yoo Joonghyuk’s foolish aide proposes he take a queen to rule by his side. Instead, he resolves to teach his aide a lesson.

Summary
Kim Dokja transmigrates as the ex-wife of a villain in a romance novel. The plot goes like this: the villain goes crazy and kills his wife. Years later, the main character cures him. They have a happy ever after.
Dokja is the wife. The villain kills him. He is the one set to die.
He doesn't want to die, so he decides to do everything he can to survive until the villain meets the main character, throws divorce papers at Dokja's face, and Dokja, obviously heartbroken, can safely exit with his large sum of alimony to the faraway lands.
The villain meets the main character. Dokja waits. The divorce papers never arrive.
If anything, even mentioning divorce seems to upset his contracted husband.

In the corner, Kim Dokja spotted a few omegas. Namely, a single omega that wouldn't stop looking at them. If they were just passing by, it wouldn’t have been an issue. He wasn’t far gone enough to think of any passing omega as someone who’d steal his mate—yet. But, after this, being more cautious honestly wouldn’t hurt anyone.
“Joonghyuk-ah,” he crooned. He clung onto Yoo Joonghyuk’s arm, acting the part of a jealous omega. His face flushed a brilliant red, but he didn’t give. Kim Dokja fluttered his eyes at the man above him.
Given his small pout and his continuously twitching eyebrows, Yoo Joonghyuk must’ve thought he was a madman right now. Never in his life had he done something so shameless in public.
“Give me a kiss, Joonghyuk-ah…”
Kim Dokja wanted to die. What the hell was he doing?
Kim Dokja witnesses firsthand how desired his mate is (or so he thinks.)
