Summary
A LONG (very slow burn) fic charting the events (and eventual romance) that occurred between the two after “The Final Problem.” Other than the fact that Baby Rosie never happened, the fic is entirely canon compliant.

He should be the happiest he’s ever been—he won the Cup, he feels like he’s maybe starting to have a few friends on his team, and he’s finally starting to believe his parents when they tell him he won’t get traded again. He should be on top of the world, but sometimes he still feels like the lone defender on an odd-man rush, skating as fast as he can to prevent what feels like an inevitable outcome.
The problem is that he’s not quite sure which outcome it is that he’s trying to stop.

Cliff gapes at him.In which the hit that Cliff Marleau had on Shane Hollander goes a little different. For one, they’re in Boston. For another, Ilya realizes he might be panicking? Which is probably not something to do in the middle of a game. And, oh yeah, he just outed both himself and his not-boyfriend to an entire locker room of hockey players.
But that’s okay, because while Boston may be vicious, they do take care of their own. And they quickly realize that their captain’s happiness and willingness to stay with the Bears is tied to Shane Hollander. The solution is easy, they’ll just have to make Shane Hollander a Bear.

Summary
Shane Hollander is a principal dancer at the New York City Ballet. The Bolshoi Ballet is sending a few special guests to choreograph and dance with the NYC Ballet for a run of La Bayadére, a seminal classic ballet. Shane knows all about the infamous Ilya Rosanov, a new face in the ballet world with an affinity for highly praising his dancers. Shane knows he shouldn't mix work, especially the biggest role he's ever gotten, and play, but he finds himself dying to when Rosanov seems to be extending the invitation.
