It's a normal day, or rather, it was supposed to be. A fact, previously unknown to Osamu, makes him realize that Suna Rintarou is closer to disappearing. Amidst the cold December winds and the language of flowers, Osamu understands that there is a deadline that, with each ticking of the clock, shows him that he is closer to losing everything.

“I can’t-” the older closed his phone, hiding it against his chest. They both stood up at the same time.
“Miya Atsumu, put that phone down. Right now.”
The blonde screamed, running towards his bedroom. Osamu cursed, running after him. He could see him opening his phone as the screen turned on again, showing an open text. He couldn't see the remitter, but that wasn’t the problem.

Sakusa stops. Stares. “He what?”
He was half kidding, but the growing horror on Sakusa's face has Rintarou thinking that he probably should’ve just kept his mouth shut altogether. “He makes breakfast? Just like, eggs and shit. It’s called being courteous.”
Sakusa says dully, “He knows how you like your eggs in the morning.”
Rintarou hears how it sounds and grimaces. “Well. Not like that .”

“Are you smelling me,” Osamu asks, because this is, well, kind of strange, and it sounds like Suna is sniffing him.
“Yes,” Suna says, and then he licks over the spot where he left an impression of his teeth a few days before. “You smell good.”
This is weird. Bizarre. Odd, even, but Suna is extraordinarily hot in the anemic sort of way and odd as it is, Osamu can’t say he’s against Suna smelling him. “This isn’t exactly what I had in mind when I said”—the words die in his throat as Suna drags his teeth over Osamu’s jaw—“when I said, uh, that I wanted to get to know you.”
