    Pony stared out at the sunset as he lit a cigarette.
    “C’mon Pony you shouldn’t stuck here with us. You’re a smart kid man, Johnny wouldve-”
    “Will you just shut your trap about what Johnny would’ve wanted.” He yelled getting in Sodapops face. “He’s dead all right he ain’t here anymore.” Tears slowly ran down his face as he flicked his cigarette into the grass. “I’m sorry man but I- I can’t do this without him.”

    Johnny and Dally have been dead for a year and Pony boy can’t keep the promise he made to Johnny. In his sophomore year of high school Pony struggles to keep up with his school work. So he decides to embrace the greaser life there’s no reason for him to leave Tulsa… not anymore.
