Summary
Oikawa Tooru is the only legitimate son of the Western king which should make him the sole heir to the throne. Except that he's not. That's because he's an omega, and omegas aren't fit to rule. Asta had presented as a prime omega. Similar to most prime omega’s, his scent had manifested first even though he had yet to have his first heat. Typically, prime omegas experienced their first heat a few years after their scent presentation and almost always needed an Alpha to accompany them since suppressants worked poorly on prime omega’s.
But for all the gifts and luck the universe had bestowed upon Yuno it had not blessed him to be a prime alpha. He had been born as just a simple regular alpha, and because of that the prime alpha’s who were pursuing Asta hardly saw Yuno as a threat. He was an annoyance to them for sure—given his close relationship to Asta—but a threat he was not.
