Summary
Christopher’s chest heaved once, followed by the sound of a stifled sob. Like a dam breaking, he hunched over slightly, shoulders shaking.
He was crying. Why would he be—
Oh.
He looked up at Eddie, tears streaming down his red cheeks, the dark makeup around his eyes somehow unaffected.
“I’m gay,” he confessed between shaky breaths, his voice cracking over the words.

Eddie snaps the picture, and sends it to Buck without thought.
New neighbour stopped by to welcome me
Eddie had been drinking his coffee, sitting outside on his back porch, trying not to get overwhelmed at all the shit he still had to do at his new place. The bird, a sweet little thing with a yellow face, was a nice distraction, flitting around, probably looking for food through the overgrown garden. It doesn’t take more than three minutes before his phone buzzes with Buck’s response.

Summary
"I don’t like oranges.”
“Since when?” Eddie frowns. “You used to love oranges.”
Christopher shrugs. “I don’t like them anymore.”
And that’s fine, really. Tastes change. Christopher doesn’t have to like oranges.
It’s just that he does. Christopher loves oranges. Christopher has loved oranges since the first time he tasted one, Eddie watching on over a shaky video call from the desert.Or, Eddie knows his kid, and his kid loves oranges. Buck knows both of them better than Eddie realized. He shows it in various citrus-based ways.
