Summary
At first glance Thomas was sure the victim was already long gone, just a burned, mangled husk attached to tubes and wires. But he was shocked to see that the heart monitor was slowly beeping. “What happened?” Thomas immediately questioned. “There was an explosion in an abandoned building around Park Row. He was found in the rubble. He was resuscitated on the scene and coded once in the ambulance. Aside from severe burns, broken bones and trauma the worst injury seems to be a wound at his throat caused by a sharp object.” They rattled off more information as Thomas quickly prepped for surgery. Every second was going to have to count to save this one.

Jason dies in the explosion after his throat is cut by Batman's batarang. But somehow he wakes up he in an alternate universe where Thomas and Martha Wayne didn't die, and Bruce never became Batman. Lost and alone Jason struggles with his injuries and his own existence, but the Waynes are determined to help him every step of the way. Jason finds himself the pseudo older brother to a teenage Dick and a baby Damian. Little do the Wayne's know that Jason has a knack for "adopting" kids. He starts with his own tiny counterpart.

“Stupid. So stupid. Superman was right there, even if he was able to shut his big mouth fast enough that the Flash didn’t hear him, Superman definitely did. He let himself get distracted, all because he was a little annoyed. Bruce made it back to the cave in record time, still grumbling as he took off the cowl and began examining the busted tech.
“You’re back earlier than expected, Master Bruce.” Said an older man with an English accent
Bruce only acknowledged him with an exasperated groan, his eyes locked onto the large computer screen as his hands flew over the keyboard typing furiously.”
-or young Batman AU where Bruce ends up revealing his identity to the Justice League after several close calls and they’re basically really surprised at his age. Young Bruce acts like a teenager sometimes cause it’s cute :D Nobody can convince me that baby Batsy wouldn’t throw a fit once he’s revealed. I like the idea that Bruce gained a bit of an accent from Alfred, so he puts on an overly Gothamite accent when he’s vigilanting? Batmaning? Heroing?
Might write more later to be part of an ongoing storyline, hopefully.

“Your dad,” Sokka starts, then swallows hard. “Your dad dueled you, burned half of your face off, and then banished you because you spoke when you shouldn’t have?”
Guilt festers and bubbles like black tar in Zuko’s chest. “I didn’t just speak. I questioned and insulted one of his highest-ranking generals—but the man was planning a massacre! He shouldn’t have—” Zuko clamps his mouth shut, his teeth clicking together, and swallows thickly. “I mean. I found the tactic he proposed very startling, but it wasn’t my place to question such things. I’m sure he had his reasons.”
“Tui and La what the absolute fuck,” Sokka whispers.
