Summary
[Canon/AU] Chizuru appears to be ordinary but isn't. The Shinsengumi have a disturbing secret to protect. The demons (Oni) have their own agenda for survival, but can't agree on the right approach. Can the Shinsengumi endure demonic lore? Can the demons adapt enough to heed their own legends? What happens as it becomes more obvious that the fate of the Oni is tied to the fate of certain individual Shinsengumi officers? And is somebody controlling them all from behind the scenes--and perhaps from a thousand years in the past? Plots, supernatural powers, Oni politics, history and romance. NOTE: This story relies on canon elements, details and characters throughout. Story events become more AU after the events at the Ikedaya Inn.

Summary

Latest Chapter: Chizuru brings Sannan a medical text he'd been looking for. He isn't happy about the provenance, but sets that aside when Chizuru asks to read the book with him.Short stories and drabbles gathered from various prompts and requests involving Hakuouki characters (general, romance, friendship, whatever). Will be canon unless specified, where canon is taken primarily from Hakuouki: Stories of the Shinsengumi (i.e., PS3 version of the game), together with the anime (3 seasons plus OVA--that means that Reimeiroku may be included), and the two movies.
NOTE: Requests for drabbles and ficlets are currently closed.

Kenshin chooses not to kill Date Masamune when the enemy warlord is saved from imminent disaster by the unexpected arrival of the rumoured Oda princess. The princess’ willingness to protect Date at all costs–-and the fact that his enemy is obviously fighting injured–-ruins the whole thing for Kenshin. But what if somebody else wants to save Kenshin? Refers to Masamune's route, but focuses entirely on Kenshin and 'what happens next' for him.

It's not easy to care about somebody whose reputation as a trickster fox spirit is generally well-earned. Rina (MC) spends the night watching over Mitsuhide while he works. Maybe they can be closer, but Mitsuhide doesn't trust anyone, including himself.
Rated a very mild M for sexual situations / developments. Possibility of Epilogue.

Summary
It all starts innocently enough with Sasuke trying to deliver cold medicine to Chieko, who has a bad cold and is finding 1582 cough and cold relief rather... unusual. Featuring Sasuke, Chieko (my character), Mitsuhide (in several incarnations, including Inner Mitsuhide), and Sanada Yukimura (briefly). Sasuke and Chieko manage some honest communication, Mitsuhide finally finds the ninja who has been plaguing the castle, and Sasuke tries to tame his greatest foe.
