Summary
The announcement of the aquarium for the Abstraction turned into a huge argument between Circus members. Pomni vehemently opposed sending Jax, yet the others voted for it—everyone except Ragatha. That same night, the Doll found herself unable to rest and visited the Abstracted Jax to say goodbye. Plans changed entirely when she managed to enter his fractured mindscape and connect.

Ever since the brawl, guilt consumed Jax. Denied him rest. Instead of confronting the problem like any healthy coping mechanism, he visited the Bubble Bar—Kaufmo's old stomping ground—with the intention of drinking himself silly while sharing the company of an NPC cursed with self-awareness. Bumping into Caine wasn't part of the plan, but they bonded over ungrateful Circus Folk.

Ever since the Red Button fiasco, none of the Circus Freaks participated in Caine's Adventures. So, to win over digital hearts, Caine allowed everyone to create their own Adventure. Jax used the opportunity to escape from the Ringmaster's reach, leaving Pomni to deal with an unhinged Ringmaster too modifier happy to see reason. As long as she remained awake, her mind was safe.

Ragatha saw the adorable budding friendship between Jax and Pomni as a blessing in disguise, rather than a catastrophe waiting to happen, and thus pushed instead of prodded. Burned bridges, nipped buds—blah-blah-blah—she sewed her mouth shut and allowed a once scared Bunny to crawl out and comfort a worrisome Jester. She helped, of course, and gradually, a burnt bridge got rebuilt.
