Suguru stares at him, the strangest expression on his face. “You want to find someone to hook up with. You want to date other people.”
And Satoru’s not expecting Suguru to like - jump up and down, or anything. But he generally gives Satoru some sort of acknowledgement, whether it’s a roll of his eyes or a fond, exasperated sigh.
Right now, though, he’s just kind of shrinking in on himself, staring at the floor like it’s the most interesting thing he’s ever seen, and that’s -

“You really have to stop pining, I’m getting secondhand embarrassment from you,” Shoko tells him as he begins to exhale.
He pointedly looks at her and mumbles, “I’m not pining.” He takes another drag and continues, “I just hate Sukuna.”

Summary
It starts at a party, as most bad things do. Satoru's world is turned upside down when he overhears Geto Suguru talking behind his back. Suddenly has to get over his feelings for his childhood best friend and he has to do it fast if he wants to walk away from the wreckage in one piece. Unfortunately Suguru isn't all that keen on letting Satoru get away, but help might come in from an unexpected direction.
“Why did you have to bring that kid… Gojo? He’s such a fucking child, clinging to you like you’re his fucking mommy. Doesn’t that bother you?” he couldn’t recognise the voice, but to be fair, Satoru didn’t know many people apart from Geto.
In a moment of silence Satoru felt his heart speed up anxiously, waiting for the response. Surely, he wasn't that bad? And if he was, then so what? Him and Suguru have always been inseparable since they became friends. Nobody could compare to what they had, so why bother with anybody else, right? There was no reason to…
