Summary

And Goddesses above, how was he supposed to hide and do nothing until his youger-taller counterpart with the Magical Sword gets things done??
Zelda could really have taken a little more time explaining what she was expecting him to do once back into a nine years-old body...
Because he's Link, has seen some shit, will see a lot more before he's allowed to rest and Links were never that lucky. Fate still has things for him to do.

Link does not want to be right. He does not want the Veteran to be missing, and he doesn't want to know with every step he takes, they're in his own past, among people he was recently at war with, decades before his world dissolved into violence (since he earned his platemail from the crown.)
But if he's right, if Legend was taken captive, he's the only one who can get him out without causing more problems than he solves.

Time never intended to introduce the Chain to his Zelda, much less the entire court. But the portals drop them in Castletown and that means there's nowhere else they can stay waiting to find out why.
Of course, a little matter of monsters has never stopped his Queen before and it won't make her cancel a ball now (a ball everyone was already in attendance for) no matter what trouble may follow.
Time probably would've preferred the monsters.
